Why do I have to do this? There are 24,000 individual members of SWSCHP that belong to approximately 12,000 households, which is a sizable group that is constantly in flux. Because the circumstances of our lives change so rapidly, it is understandable that some might forget to update necessary information. But this is critical for you and for the plan. It ensures that when you need coverage you will not be met with unnecessary delays. And it helps the plan avoid fraud and duplication, which ultimately can cost the plan - and its member districts - more money. It is also important to know that as a plan cooperative, we are regulated by the NYS Department of Financial Services, which demands proper auditing and accountability for all members that we service.

How long will it take? If you have no changes to your information, simply review and confirm. If you have changes, update the information and confirm. All told, this is an exercise that should take no more than a minute or two of your time.

If I can’t complete it or I’m confused, what should I do? While it isn’t typically necessary, you can always consult the instructions on the main page of the enrollment verification process.

If that still doesn’t work, please contact your benefit representative.

Why are you asking for a home email address and cell phone? SWSCHP needs to contact its members on a periodic basis for important updates to our services or heath care alerts (e.g. the Covid crisis, coverage changes, etc.).

What happens if I don’t verify? You are going to keep getting phone calls/emails and other contacts until you verify.
